About ME
Before retraining and starting KatieHart.JustBreathe, I spent almost 10 years living and working in London as an actor. During those 10 years, I played many different roles, performing as many characters. Most of the time, I was unsure of which character was the real me. The acting industry required me to understand and process the emotions of the role I was playing, but I had no idea how to do that in my own world. My body would be giving me signs and signals that it felt unsafe and unhappy, but I didn't know how to listen to them. I struggled in my personal and professional life when it came to boundaries, people pleasing and self-worth.​
I decided to shed the mask I had been wearing and embark on a journey to understand who I was. I discovered therapy, breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, the healing power of laughter and deep energy healing.These methods and practices helped me
to uncover my authentic true self. I was able to understand my inner world, heal and shed my ego. Most importantly, I learned how to listen to my body. Through regulating my nervous system and processing and understanding my emotions, I grew a deeper sense of awareness. Leaving me feeling more resilient, confident and grounded.​
My formal training in holistic therapies are in Breathwork (ReWild), Meditation (Vayia Nafees), Laughter Yoga (United Mind) and as a Reiki Master (Little School of Reiki & Vayia Nafees). I am also studying towards my diploma as an Integrative Transpersonal Therapist at CCPE in London, accredited by UKCP. I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies and a student member of UK.

My Approach
My approach is kind and empathetic, with my focus on ensuring you feel heard and understood. In any 1-2-1 session with me, we will explore the senses, the here and now, your emotions and body work/somatics.

Body Work and Somatics
Using somatic practices such as breathwork, meditation and Reiki, we'll explore building a mind/body connection, allowing you to feel the mind and the body as one rather than two separate parts. We look at what your body is trying to tell you, rather than focusing on a chaotic, busy mind. Through body work and somatic practices, we'll explore your body's experiences, traumas and stories to help you understand yourself better.

Emotional Body
Through breathwork, meditation and Reiki, I will guide you in understanding your emotions. You'll move from living in 'fight or flight' and into being able to identify emotions and where they arise in the body, helping you to process and release them. This work goes much deeper than simply naming an emotion. You will be able to acknowledge it, sit with it and allow it to pass, bringing personal growth and acceptance. We may also integrate what the emotional body is saying through creativity.

Senses
In a session, we will look to regulate your nervous system to tune into your senses. This work goes much deeper than simply bringing the body into a state of calm. Through regular breathwork, meditation and Reiki, you'll begin to be able to listen to your body. Bringing your mind, body and soul into a place of safety. There you'll be able to gain intuitive signals and cues from your senses when a situation, person or place doesn't feel right.

Here and Now
Using mindfulness tools, techniques and practices, my focus is on helping you understand what is happening in the present moment. Rather than letting an anxious, stressed or worried mind dwell on the past or the future. We'll delve into what is happening for you here and now. We'll explore grounding in the present moment to prevent future feelings of stress, worry and anxiety.
